BOTTENBERG, Wolfgang – Dr. Wolfgang Heinz Otto Bottenberg on January 16, 2018 at Heartwood Long Term Care at the age of 87 years. Beloved husband of Joanna Bottenberg (née Heinrich). Devoted father of Rupert and Philip, both of Montreal, and Frances of North Carolina, and proud grandfather of Aidan and Fiona Price-Bottenberg. Wolfgang leaves behind a magnificent oeuvre of musical compositions to be enjoyed by future generations of performers and listeners. Wolfgang’s legacy as a composer, musician and professor will be preserved in the Wolfgang Bottenberg fonds at the Canadian Music Archives, University of Calgary. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Donations to Nature Conservancy Canada (www.natureconservancy.ca ) in Wolfgang’s memory would be appreciated.
