Allen, Randy Neil – 1958 – 2009, 51 years old. It is with great sadness within all of our hearts to announce the death of Randy Allen on August 16, 2009. Born in Namur, Quebec, he was a son of Doris Allen of Truro and the late Clayton Allen. Randy spent all of his life in Truro. His greatest joys in life were his two sons. They were the most important part of his life. He enjoyed sports and coaching his boys in ball and hockey, and he guided them to be great young men. Randy worked as a contractor, including work with painting. He was member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #26 and the Air Force Club #102. He is survived by his sons Travis Murray Neil Allen, Calgary, Alberta; Mitchell Kyle Lyn Allen, Truro Heights; and their mother Patty Hunter, Truro Heights; siblings Nancy Hatfield, Bible Hill; Barry Allen, Edmonton, Alberta; Brenda Clark (Kenny), Hartland, NB; Debbie Fielding, Swift Current, Saskatchewan; Pam Kniel (Marty), Beaver Lodge, Alberta; Cheryl Webb (Ron), Halifax; Errol Allen, Truro; Kevin Allen, Edmonton, Alberta; Paul Allen, Edmonton, Alberta; many nieces and nephews. Randy was predeceased by his father, Clayton Allen; brother, Brian Allen; sister, Donna Allen. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 20th from 7 – 9pm in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 21st at 2pm in First Baptist Church, 759 Prince Street, Truro, with Rev. Andy Crowell officiating. Family flowers only.
