MORTON, ANNIE ROSETTA - Annie Rosetta Morton, 85, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Monday, May 9, 2011. Born in Stilesville, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Ina (Hicks) Kelly. Annie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She attended the Moncton Gospel Hall and was an avid quilter and seamstress. Annie will be sadly missed by her children, Thomas (Patti), Victor (Brenda), both of Surrey, BC; Ada Johnson (Bill), Moncton; Charlie (Ginnette), Dieppe; Samuel (Angelina), Ken (Paula), Scott (Myriam), Allan (Sharon), all of Surrey, BC; Clarie (Patsy), with whom Annie resided; Peter (Nadine), Surrey, BC; David (Kerry-Lee), Halifax; 28 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; two sisters, Viola Groundwater, Moncton, Ruth Murray (Paul), Upper Coverdale; brothers, Kenneth Kelly (Marie), Stilesville, Bradley Kelly (Jeanine), Moncton, Waymond Kelly, Riverview, Charlie Kelly (Carol), Irishtown; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, predeceased by her husband, Earl Morton (1994); son, Robert (Bob); daughter, Fran; sisters, Leta, Zelda, Julia, Henrietta; one brother, Richard.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Saturday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service, Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Sunday May 15, 2011, 2:00 pm, Mr. William Swan and Mr. Allison Morton officiating. Reception at the Moncton Gospel Hall, 895 Salisbury Rd, immediately following the service. Interment, Gladeside Cemetery at a later date. In Annie’s memory, donations to Gladeside Cemetery Fund, Moncton Gospel Hall Building Fund or a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
