Patrick ‘Pat’ Campbell, 68, of Whitney Pier passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, May 9, 2011, in the Cape Breton Regional, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late James and Easter May Campbell.
He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and was employed with the Canadian Armed Forces for 30 years. Upon his retirement he began to work as a security supervisor at Centre 200, he also was an avid sports man and participated in many such as baseball, volleyball and football.
Pat will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Rachel; daughters, Margaret Ann of Sydney and Audrey May of Ontario; sister, Lillet Tasco of Dartmouth; brother, Irving of Ottawa; grandchildren, Klaas, James and Patricia; great-grandchild, Damien; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Rudolph (Bunny), Mildward and Aurther.
There will no visitation. A memorial service will be held Monday, May 16, 2011, at 11 a.m. in T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel with Archbishop Vincent Waterman officiating. Interment will be in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens, Sydney Glace Bay Highway.
