Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, May 9, 2011, Gordon Spracklin of Brigus, aged 90 years. Predeceased by his parents, Simon and Suzanne Spracklin, son John, sister Elizabeth, brothers: Frederick, William, Simon, Albert, Warren and Thomas. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Matilda (nee Colbourne); daughter Bernice (Blandford, deceased); sons: Melvin (Evelyn), Eugene, Wayne (Monica); nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Resting at Broughton’s Funeral Home, Brigus with visitation on Wednesday and Thursday from 12 p.m. - 9 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Funeral to take place on Friday, May 13, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from the Brigus United Church with interment to follow in the United Church Cemetery, Brigus.
