Suddenly at home on Wednesday, May 11, 2011, of E. Mae Champion of Pleasant Street, Kensington, aged 73 years.
Born in Darnley on May 2, 1938 daughter of the late William Simmonds and the late Doris (Burt) Silliker and stepdaughter of the late Lorne Silliker. Wife of the late Clarence E. Champion. Mother of Karen (Charles) Condon, Kensington; Nancy (Frank) McQuaid, Cornwall; Bonnie (Lloyd) Pickering, Sea View; Marlene (James) Greenlaw, Summerside; and Terry (Mary Jane) Champion, Darnley. Grandmother to Jason (April) Condon, Amanda Condon (Kerry Coolen), Colin (Melissa) McQuaid, Jeremy Pickering, Jennifer Pickering, Curtis Mallett (Andrea Perry), Angela Mallett (Terry Wood), Jeanne Mallett (Greg Gallant), Jalene Greenlaw, Kassidy Arsenault, Ryan Champion (Jessica Bernard), Courtney Arsenault and 12 great-grandchildren. Also survived by close family friend Joseph Pigeon, and her cat Sierra. Sister of Willis (Norma) Silliker, Summerside. Sister-in-law to Dianne Silliker, Margate; Minnie Reeves (Ernest Carr), Summerside; Nancy (Earl) MacKenzie, Indian River; and Muriel Stavert (Jim Wall), Indian River; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Keith Silliker and grandniece Brianna Silliker.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Friday from 6:30-9 p.m. Funeral Saturday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. Interment in People’s Cemetery, Malpeque.
