We, the family of Joanne McDonald, regret to announce her passing on Monday, Aug. 17, 2009.
She was the daughter of the late Bernard and Helen MacDonald, formerly of 49 Ingoville St., Sydney.
Joanne resided in Lake Echo.
Joanne is survived by her common-law partner of 23 years, Bruce Nedved; sons, Terry and Tom (Michelle) Beard; beloved grandchildren, Ashlyn, Cole, Gabe and Jack; sisters, Mary Lou (Angus) MacKinnon and Judy MacGibbon; brothers, Cyril (Sandra), Harris (Mary Jane) and John Allan MacDonald and many special nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Joanne was predeceased by brother, Richard, brother-in-law, Jim MacGibbon and nephew, Ian MacDonald.
Visitation will take place at S.W. Chant Funeral Home Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Anthony Daniel Church Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009, at 11 a.m. with Fr. Tom MacNeil officiating.
Donations in Joanne’s memory may be made to palliative care, QEII Health Sciences Centre or to a charity of one’s choice.
