Ballum
The death occurred at Ormond Beach, Florida on April 2, 2011 of Raymond Ballum, Veteran of the Second World War (Royal Canadian Air Force 1942-1946), formerly of South Portland, Maine and PEI aged 89 years. Ray was born at Victoria West, PEI, on Jan. 10, 1922, son of the late George and Mary (MacLennan) Ballum. Dear father of Marcia Carmichael and loving grandfather of Shawn Ray (Erica) Carmichael and great grandaughter Briell Kylie Carmichael. Brother in law of Bea Ballum, Tyne Valley. Predeceased by his wife Ruth (Gray) Ballum, brothers George, Jack, Ancel, Willard, Clayton, Allan and sister Verna Mae. Family and friends are invited to Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel for visiting hours on Saturday, May 14 from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. In Lieu of flowers memorials to the Victoria West People's Cemetery would be appreciated. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Elleslie will hold a service of remembrance, for their late comrade, at the funeral home on Saturday at 11:45 a.m.
