It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father on May 11, 2011.
He was born in North Sheilds, England to the late John and Sarah Duff.
Gordie is survived by his son, Brent (Linda) Duff; daughter, Dena (Rickey) Chisholm; grandchildren, Daniel and Sarah; brothers, John, Jimmy; his second wife, Joyce; stepson, John (Denise) Moor and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife of 49 years, Rosie (Keough) Duff; sister, Sadie and brother, Stewart.
Gordie was employed at the Holy Redeemer parish for many years. He will always be remembered for his willingness to donate his time and handy work to many fundraising efforts in his community. Many people will remember Gordie for his work at the parish center, especially the nights of floor hockey and weddings.
Cremation will be taking place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
