Bertha Beatty
October 4, 1945 - May 12, 2011

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear loved one, Bertha Beatty. She was born in Little Red Reserve on October 4, 1945. She lived to the early age of 65 years and had numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bertha took care of all her children and had a special place for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her dedication to education inspired all who knew her to pursue excellence which made her happy. Her love for God and belief in the Saviour encouraged all who knew her. She was one proud mom. Bertha leaves behind a son Edward (Melanie) Mirasty; two daughters Melanie Beatty and Julie Mirasty; six grandchildren Dee-Jay, Cyndi, Edward, Robbie, Jimmy and Keagen; and three Chapans (great-grandchildren) Darren, Janessa and Chanel. She was predeceased by her husband Edward Thomas Beatty; her sisters Rose McCallum and Pansy Mirasty; her brother Robert “Bob” Mirasty; her parents Angus and Mary-Elizabeth Mirasty; and special uncle Absolom (Sagameese) Mirasty. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 16, 2011 at Little Red River Reserve School Gymnasium with Reverend Gene Ermine officiating. Interment will be held at Little Red River Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
