FRANK JOSEPH GEREIN
December 2, 1939 – May 11, 2011
Frank Gerein passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at the age of 71 years. Frank was born in Scott, SK on December 2, 1939. He started his schooling in Scott, SK. After he grew up he moved to numerous places where Frank had done carpentry work. He ended up moving to Prince Albert, where he went up north to Key Lake and Wastene Lake. Frank did a lot of building like the RCMP office. In 1982 he started to work for P.A. Community Housing, where he was one of the maintenance men. Frank worked with the company until 2002 when he retired due to an accident Frank had. Frank loved to spend time with his friends and family whom he loved to play jokes on. He liked to go to the lakes and go for walks on the riverbanks. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Donna and his son Andrew. Frank is also survived by some other special people in his life; his niece Lori (Darren) Kott and their children Amanda and Kevin; his niece Shelly (Scott) Wheeler and their children Ashley, Kyla & Branden; adopted daughter Chantelle (Ryan) Hovdebo and his grandchildren Arianna and Logan; his brother John (Rita) Gerein; his sisters Madeline Stencherude, Irene Marr, Helen Moore, Evey (Gordon) Stratton; numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Frank Sr. & Madgenline Gerein; his brothers Val (Kay) Gerein, Charlie Gerein, Bill Gerein, Gabe (Phyllis) Gerein; his sisters Margie (Cliff) Roe and Beth; his mother and father-in-law Harriet and George Mason; his grandma-in-law Mary Mason. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honour of Frank to the ALS Foundation. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 16 from River Park Memorial Chapel. Father Travis Myrheim will officiate. Interment will take place at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. Family and friends may send email condolences to www.riverparkfuneral.ca.
