Pearl; Christine (Clark) Atherton, Hatfield Point, N.B.; Doreen (Howard) Earle, Carbonear; Donald (Carolyn) Powell, Foxtrap; brother and sister Ben Powell, Charlottetown, Labrador, Grace Pelley, Corner Brook; sister-in-law Isabelle Powell, Bay Roberts; nine grandchildren Krista (Trevor) King, Danielle (Brian) King, Kimberley, Donnie, Howard, Stephen, Lindsay (Terry) Upshall, Kristopher & Bethany; five great-grandchildren Nathan, Cole, Charlie, Gabrielle & Ava; special niece and nephew Cathy Cuff & Gary Butt, and a large number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by parents Herbert & Bethana Powell; brothers and sisters Max (Carolyn), Herbert, Roland (Pearl) Powell, Mary Fradsham & Ella (Jack) Becktel; in-laws Effie Powell & Malcolm Pelley. The Funeral Service will take place at Bethany United Church and Interment to follow at the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear, on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at 2 P.M. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at SLADE’S FUNERAL HOME, POWELL DRIVE, CARBONEAR between the hours of Monday: 8:30 - 9:30, Tuesday& Wednesday: 10:30 - 12 noon, 2 - 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m..
