Port au Port East, NL. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dr. Wayne G. Wheeler announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Monday, August 17, 2009 at the age of 55 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Wanda, two sons: Sean (Tara) of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island; Stephen of Port au Port East; one special grand son Kyle Wayne Wheeler; parents Wilfred and Vera Wheeler of Port aux Basques; one brother Terry (Suzanne) of Grand Falls-Windsor and their children Tiffany of St. John’s and Lorieanne of Labrador City; one sister Jocelyn (Doug) Townson of Florida, USA and their daughter Sherri (Troy) Kernicki of Florida, USA and a large circle of relatives and friends. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, August 20 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Augustine’s Anglican Church, Hillview Avenue, Stephenville with Rev. Dawn Barrett officiating. Interment will take place at the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville.
