It is with a sad heart that we affirm the passing of Robert Ploughman on May 12th at the Ottawa General Hospital.
Rob was a gregarious soul who lived life to the fullest. Although he moved to Ottawa in 1991, Rob was a true Newfoundlander at heart and often spoke fondly of his special home in Bay Roberts. Rob had many close friends including Terry Clarke, Scott Parsons, Vince Dillon, Junior Howlett and Chuck Canham to name just a few. He was an avid power-lifter (winner of 1988 NL Power-Lifting Championships) and strong-man competitor (1st - 1995 Canadian Strongman Champion) who dedicated the majority of his career to helping others via a successful Massage Therapy practice in Ottawa, Ontario. Regardless of locale, he will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

A service will be held at Kelly's Funeral Home in Ottawa on Monday, May 16th. His cremated returns will rest alongside his beloved family in Newfoundland.
