Passed peacefully away after a brief illness at the Placentia Health Centre, with her beloved family by her side, Joan Marie Ghaney (nee Byrne), at the age of 84 years. Predeceased by husband Steve on October 7, 1988, sister Marina, and brothers Pat and Leo. Leaving to mourn and cherish her memory are her children: Larry (Joanne), daughter Lauren, son Jason, grandchildren Calin and Reagan; Francis (Martha), daughter Tessa; Joan (Jim), son Stephen, daughter Kaite; Danny (Sunaree), daughter Danielle; and Stephanie (Ross), son John Thomas, daughters Mackenzie and Kayla (Shane), grandson Thomas; and always by her side, special pet Shelby. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia. Visitation to take place on Wednesday from 2-9 pm, and Thursday starting 10 am. Mass of Christian Burial to take place 2:30 pm on Thursday, February 22 at St. Anne's Church, Dunville to follow at St. Anne's Cemetery, Dunville.
