Isobel Hare

HARE, ISOBEL COOK - Isobel Cook Hare of the Church of St. John-St. Stephen Nursing Home, wife of the late Harold F. Hare, passed away peacefully, May 14, 2011 with her family by her side at her late residence. Born October of 1919 in Paisley, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late David T. and Fanny (Brown) Watson. Devoted wife, mother and grandmother she was a very fair and honorable woman and was admired by her family A past member of the Park Avenue Church, Full Gospel Assembly and Calvary Temple. Isobel was an avid reader, enjoyed music and especially feeding the birds. She loved spending time with family and friends and had a soft spot for canine companions. Isobel is survived by daughters Nancy E. Atwin of Saint John, Janice I. Wooden (Dale) of Kanata, ON, Kathryn A. Currie (Timothy) and Susan E. Barwell both of Saint John; and sons Robert I. Of Saint John and David W. of Bloomfield; six grandchildren Robert Bonvie, Nicole Wooden, Jonathan Wooden,Christopher Barwell, Joshua Barwell and Jeremy Currie; one great-granddaughter Tianna Henderson; great friend who was much like her sister Connie Cooper of the Church of St. John-St. Stephen NH; nieces, nephews and many friends. Besides her parents, and husband of 58 years Harold F. Hare, Isobel was predeceased by her brothers James and David.
Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 17th and 18th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a reception. Private family interment to take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
