Passed peacefully away on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at the Interfaith Home, Corner Brook, John A. Murrin at the age of 83 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his five children: William Murrin, Jean Snooks (Austin), Joan Jennix (Blair), Gordon Murrin, Raymond Murrin (Mia); eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers: Ivan, Neil, Gerald, Sydney, Florence and Mae; as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by wife Hazel, July 20, 2006; two sons: Harold and Alexander; sister Mary. Visitation will be held at St. James Anglican Church, Lark Harbour on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., followed by the funeral service on Saturday, August 22nd, 2009 at 2:00 p.m., Reverend Nellie Thomas officiating. Interment at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
