MAURICE JOSEPH
ALBERT PAINCHAUD

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Maurice Joseph Albert Painchaud. He was born on April 28, 1933 in Prud’homme, SK and passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 76 at the Victoria Hospital. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. Maurice married Laurence Jeanne Marie Roussenque on April 28, 1959. Maurice enjoyed spending time around home working. Over the years he farmed, hauled gravel, did some cat work and had a sawmill. He also enjoyed music, singing and playing his guitar. Maurice will be lovingly cherished and remembered by his wife Laurence; his children Arthur (Susan) [their children Michelle, Nicole, Daniel, Tina]; Normand (Cindy) [their children Renae, Michael]; Donald [his sons Jeremy, John]; Paul (AnneMarie) [their son Corey]; his brothers and sisters Thérèse (Mathieu) Mariacci, George (Laurette) Painchaud, Georgette Guay, Isabelle (Leonard) Lemieux, Louis (Pauline) Painchaud, Marie Kotch, Raymond Painchaud and Annette (Ben) Lazaruk as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Angèle Painchaud; his mother-in-law and father-in-law Honorée Fauchoux and Jean Roussenque; his sister Marthe Painchaud and his brothers-in-law Laurent Painchaud and Adrien Guay. Prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 20 from River Park Memorial Chapel. Sister Renée Buliard will officiate. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 21 from River Park Memorial Chapel. Father George Canto will officiate. Interment will take place in the Garden of Sermon on the Mount, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation.
