Arthur Alfred Prodger

Prodger, Arthur Alfred, 89, of Truro, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the Colchester Regional Hospital Truro. Born in Lower Truro he was a son of the late Alfred James and Winifred Olive (Kent) Prodger. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 22 years Judy; his son, Jim (Stephanie); grandsons, Jay, Jody, and their mother Judy and his four legged companion Blackie. He was predeceased by sister, Olive Sandeson; brother, Frederick. He spent 33 years working in the carpet industry with Harding and Crossley Carpets. He was a lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 26, Truro. We would like to thank the nurses and doctors of ICU and 3 North of the Colchester Regional Hospital Truro. No visitation by request. Funeral service will be held 11am Tuesday May 17, in the Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street Truro, Rev. Ian Harrison officiating with a reception to follow in the funeral home. Interment will then be held in the Old Barns Cemetery, Old Barns. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the S.P.C.A. or the Old Barns Cemetery Fund.
