COLFORD, EARL - Mr. Earl Thomas Colford of Storeytown Road, Doaktown passed away Saturday, May 14th, 2011 at Boiestown Nursing Home, at the age of 83. Born in Cains River, he was the son of the late Charles and Lucy Jane (Turner) Colford. He was a pipe fitter and steam fitter. He enjoyed working with wood building houses, furniture and was a self made carpenter. He was a member of Our Lady of Annunciation Roman Catholic Church. He is survived by two daughters: Kimberley DeMerchant (Robert) of Fredericton and Jennifer O’Donnell (Bill Mead) of Fredericton, one son: Timothy Clarke (Mary-Anne) of St. John, two sisters: Benieta Layton of Blissfield and Catherine McEvoy (Tony) of Renous, one brother: Leo of Cross Creek, three grandchildren: Katie Munn, Benjamin Meade, and Dylan Clarke, and one great-grandchild: Cameron Curry. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers: Joe, Charles, Marven and Harold.
Mr. Earl Thomas Colford is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 579 Main Street Doaktown, with visitation on Monday from 6 to 9. The mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, May 17th at Our Lady of Annunciation in Blissfield at 11 am with Fr. Joseph Okoko officiating. Burial will be held at a later time. At the request of the family donations can be made to the New Brunswick Heart & Stroke Foundation or a donation of one’s choice would be appreciated.
