Passed away suddenly on May 13, 2011 at the Central NL Regional Health Centre, Frederick John Boone. He was 75 years of age. Mr. Boone retried from the Canadian National Railway in 1993 and was a member of the AOTS, CNR Retired Pensioners Association, and the Kids Eat Smart Club. He was predeceased by parents, Aubrey & Jessie Boone; brother, Lorne Boone; sister, Beryl & husband, Herb Bowering; broth-ers-in-law, Gordon McGurke, Cyril Baird, Joseph Troy; in-laws; Leo & Bridie Troy. Left to mourn are wife of 40 years Mary; son, Frederick(Kyla); and their precious & only grandson, Troy. Also leaving to mourn sisters, Fay Stone, Lillian (Lloyd) Marshall, Lorraine (Cal) Spracklin, and twin sister, Melba Baird; brothers, Gerald (Rita), Cyril (Effie), Don(Shirley); brother & sister-in-laws, Madonna (Leo) Ricks, Shirley (Tommy) Parsons, Pat (Gertrude) Troy, Marie Troy, Francis (Martin) Reardon, Eddy Troy, Agnes (Jerome) McCarthy, Wade (Annie) Troy, Tony (Gladys) Troy, Paul (Betty) Troy; and an extra-large circle of family and friends. Rev. Elizabeth Stewart conducted funeral services at the Bishops Falls United Church on Mon., May 16, 2011. Interment was at the Bishop’s Falls United Church Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were by Hoskins Funeral Homes, Bishop’s Falls. Pall-bearers were Frederick Boone Jr., Pat Troy, Tommy Parsons, Aubrey Goobie, Bob King, and Joe Saunders. Honorary pallbearers were Don & Cyril Boone. Honour guard was formed by the members of the Men’s AOTS Group. Donations in his memory can be made to the Kids Eat Smart Program.
