CARLETON - Helen (Smith) Carleton of Cabri, SK, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2009, after a brief battle with cancer. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her children, Bruce (Colleen), Lee, Janice, and Brian; her grandchildren, Garritt and Kristy, Braydon and Tanner, Trevor (Lisa) and Trent, and Nicky, Mandy (Brandon), Shelby and Isaac; her great grandchildren, Kolton, Kinlee and Alexander; her sister, Joan (Walter); brother, Iver (Doris); sister-in-law, Teresa; her brother-in-law, Wallace (Joyce) and Ron (Florene); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Doug in 1993; her father, John; mother, Jean; and her brother, Jim. A private graveside family service will be held on Sunday, September 6, followed by a reception celebrating her life at the Cabri Senior’s Hall at 3:30 of the same day which is opened to all family, friends and community members. In lieu of flowers donations in Helen’s memory may be made to either the Cabri Swimming Pool Committee or the Cabri Union Hospital Auxiliary. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Swift Current Funeral Home.
