In loving memory of Evelyn Mary (Vokey) MacInnis, 78 years, who died Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital.
Beloved wife of George MacInnis of Garson. Loving mother of Anne Marie MacInnis and Janet Strum (Bill), both of Garson, Heather Castonguay (Rene) of Mississauga and George (Lori) of Garson. Cherished grandmother of Travis (predeceased 2001), Kyle, Kolin, Janel, Conner, Cathryn and Caela.
Predeceased by her father, Samuel; mother, Anne (Bates) and stepmother, Rowena (Roberts) Vokey.
Dear sister of Sam (Olive) of Glace Bay, N.S., Dave (Johanne) of P.E.I., Tom of P.E.I., Rev. David McNaughton (Nancy) of Truro, N.S., Jan Fardy (Jim) of Winnipeg, Ellen Vokey Phillips (Bob) of Boularderie Center, N.S. and predeceased by John (Florence), Bill (Mary of Toronto), Gerald, and Margaret Cormier (Frank). Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, sisters- and brothers-in-law, and many very dear families in Antigonish and Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Evelyn was a wonderful and true friend to many.
Born in Glace Bay, Evelyn married George MacInnis in 1962. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist parish and CWL, and a member of the Sudbury branch of the Cape Breton Club.
Funeral service and interment took place in Garson, Ont. on April 30, 2011.
