Thomas Stephen Colvey, 82, of Russell Drive, Bras d’Or, passed away Monday, May 16, 2011, at Waterford Heights Nursing Home.
Born in Bras d’Or, he was the son of the late Hartlen and Rita (Jessome) Colvey.
He was a member of St. Joseph’s parish, Bras d’Or, and a life member of the Bras d’Or Seniors and Pensioners Club.
He worked on the Great Lakes for 40 years.
Tommy is survived by his sister, Mary Walker; his nieces, Billie, Rita, Mary and Debbie; nephews, Joe and Jamie Power and Bernie.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Hubert, Stephen and Louis and his sister, Juanita Power.
Many thanks to the staff of the Northside General Hospital and Waterford Heights Nursing Home for all their care and help.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Francis Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. A funeral mass and burial will take place at a time to be announced.
