Passed suddenly at home on Sunday evening, May 15, 2011, Wayne Austin Cooke, age 71, best friend and beloved husband of Sheila Elizabeth Cooke (nee O’Hara), dearly devoted and loving father to Kyrstyn and Ford (Angela); brother to Trudy Fink (Terry). Will also be greatly and always missed by his favorite sister-in-law Kathryn O’Hara and his nephew Ben O’Hara-Byrne, as well as a wide swath of friends whose hearts he touched with his generous spirit, zest for life and love for Newfoundland. By his request, there will be no funeral. In his memory, please plant flowers, a bush or a tree. Alternatively, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
