It is with great sadness that the family of the late Daisy Blake announces her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at the age of 96 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her daughters: Shirley (Jack) Webb of Buckhorn, ON, Gertie (Harold) Dalton of Little Catalina, NL, Helen (Melvin) Locke of Surrey, BC, Elizabeth (Clifton) (with whom she resided), Linda (Bill) of Gilmanton, NH, USA, Judy (Ron) O’Brien of Corner Brook and Susan Blake of Calgary, AB; her sons: Lemuel (Rowena) of Pasadena, NL, James of Toronto, ON, Frederick of Corner Brook, NL, as well as a large circle of friends, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Friday, August 21, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, August 22, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Sunday, August 23, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from First United Church on Park Street with Rev. Marilyn Avery officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. Flowers are gracefully accepted or memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
