At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Thursday, August 20, 2009, of John Albert Edward Toombs of Ebenezer and formerly of Bedeque, age 76 years.
Born in Bedeque on September 26, 1932, son of the late Irving and Jennie (Dingwell) Toombs. Brother of Arthur (Lourice) Toombs, Burlington, Ontario; Garth (Faye) Toombs, North Bedeque; and Cottie (Jim) Dobson, California. Uncle of James (Tanya), Steven, Richard (Angela) and Andrew (Melanie) Toombs, Susan (Mike) Sheppard and five grandnephews. Also surviving are special friends and caregivers, Blaine Simpson and his mother, Barbara.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, where a private funeral service will be held on Monday. Interment in the Lower Bedeque Cemetery.
