It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Gordon at the age of 80. Gordon was born in Calgary, AB. He is predeceased by his parents, Emma and Evered Bigelow; his brothers, Bill, Archie, Walter, Sidney and Leslie; sisters, Violet Dolphin and Florence Walker; his first wife and mother of his children, Shirley and his second wife, Linda. He is survived by his loving partner, Rose Hanrahan and her children, Brian (Debbie) Straub, Arlene Graham (Doyle) and Carolyn (Tony) Stang; his daughters, Vivian (Ed) Piotrowski and Karen (Joe) Eisler; his sons, Steven and Dale (Lenora); grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sisters, Eva (Frank) Jennish and Alice Broadhurst; his brothers, Ernest, Richard and Roy (Val); and numerous nieces and nephews. Gordon spent his early years helping in the building of pipelines as a foreman and heavy equipment operator. In later years he helped with family operations at Cedar Vista, Vulcan, AB. and Prairie Oasis Complex at Moose Jaw, SK. A Gathering of Family and Friends to Celebrate Gordon’s Life will be held in Moose Jaw on Thursday, May 19th, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Room #44 Prairie Oasis. Miss Sarah Stang will officiate.
