At the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday August 23, 2009, of J. Leighton Coulson, of Sea View, aged 95 years. Born in Sea View, May 17, 1914, son of the late John and Edna (Barlow) Coulson. Husband of the late Vivian D. (Paynter) Coulson. Father of Lowell (Judy) Coulson, Margate; Lorraine (Claire) Hynes, Sea View; Pauline Coulson, Charlottetown; Joy Coulson, Sea View; Robert (Lori) Coulson, Margate, and Mary (G.L.) Smith, Freetown. Grandfather of Peter (Shellie) Coulson, Margate; David Hynes, Irishtown, Kimberley (Bob) Murphy, Spring Valley; Drew Coulson, Margate, and Teila Coulson, Margate. Great-grandfather of Jeremy Coulson, Megan Hynes MacLeod, Joshua Coulson, Lexie and Lance Murphy. Also survived by aunt Gladys Christian, Littleton, Colorado, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his sister, Pauline Coulson, R.N.; father- and mother-in-law Hedley and Johanna (Millman) Paynter; and brothers and sisters-in-law Olive (Thomas) Knight, Mae (Frank) Brown, Vera (James) MacKenzie; and David (Gertie) Paynter. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Monday evening from 6:30-9 p.m. Funeral Tuesday in St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, Irishtown, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
