The death occurred suddenly at the Montague Hospital on Saturday, August 22, 2009, of Helen Gillis of Souris, age 77 years. Survived by sisters Theresa Flipping, Montreal, Mary Boufford, Ottawa, brothers; William, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Charlie (Catherine), Souris; nieces, Viola Begin, Ottawa, Margaret Schmitz, Toronto; nephew, Joe, Fort McMurray, Alberta. Predeceased by parents Peter and Nellie Gillis of Souris Line Road. Sisters, Maud, Elizabeth, Alice and Ann; brothers, Elmer, John and Allen; niece, Catherine. Cremation to take place and funeral arrangements to be announced later. If so desired, contributions may be make in Helen’s memory to St. Mary’s Cemetery Fund in Souris would be appreciated.
