Passed peacefully away after a long illness on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at the Health Sciences Centre, Shirley Marina Bursey, aged 73 years. Predeceased by husband Leonard in 1968, son Glenn in 2007 and father Wes Harris in 1997. Leaving to mourn two sons: Craig (Alicia) and Darren (Linda); two grandchildren: Hannah May and Jennifer; her mother Mary Harris; four brothers: Raymond Harris (Dorothy), Donald Harris (Barbara), Skip Harris (Doris) and Todd Harris (Helen); daughter-in-law Patricia Bursey; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Special friends Peter Squires, Valerie Fowler and Joan Snelgrove. Thanks to the staff and residents at Karwood Retirement Retreat. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road with visitation from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Funeral service from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Monday, May 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow.
