The death occurred peacefully, with family by his side, on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, of Boyd MacDonald, of Cornwall, beloved husband of Alfreda MacDonald (nee Kelly). Boyd was born on January 24, 1934, to his late parents, Leslie and Blanche (Thomson) MacDonald. Boyd was the father of Angus (Amy); and loving grandfather to Julia. He is also survived by his brothers, Morley, Ralph (Loraine) and Don (Georgina); sisters, Lois Gass and Mabel Gardiner (Wayne); brother-in-law, Clair White; sisters-in-law, Helen Candiotto (John), Pat Rice and Betty Murray (Jim); and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents, Boyd was predeceased by his sisters, Annabelle White and Doris Crossman; sister-in-law, Irma MacDonald; and brother-in-law, Bill Rice. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Sunday, April 29, 2018, from 2 – 4 p.m. Memorial celebration will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel, on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow the service at St. Francis of Assisi and St. Martin of Tours Cemetery, Cumberland.
