MUISE, Janet (Jeanette) Mary Martha – Auntie passed away with her loving family by her side at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born on January 24, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Doris Muise. In her younger years she worked at Teddy’s Restaurant in Yarmouth. She moved to Boston at the age of twenty-five where she worked for Keystone Camera and Projector Co., and then with the Howard Johnson payroll department. At the age of fifty, she returned to Yarmouth where she worked for CIBC until she retired. Once she retired, she spent the next 20 years booking the appointments for the podiatrists who came to Yarmouth from Halifax. She enjoyed her morning coffee sessions, her cat and her Wednesday TV bingo. She was a great cook and a good friend to all who knew her. She was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Doris, a nephew, Alan James and a sister-in-law Cecilia Evangeline. She is survived by her brother, Peter William “Billy”, Tidal View Manor, Yarmouth, and her two nephews, Nil (Pat) and Guy (Linda), as well as several great nephews and nieces and also several cousins. Visitation took place from 7-9 Friday evening with prayers at 8 p.m. at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. The funeral mass was held Saturday, May 21, at 10 a.m. at Saint Ambrose Cathedral, Yarmouth, Father Henry Smolenaars officiated. Interment followed in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. It was requested that there be family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the SPCA or to the Nova Scotia Firefighters Museum.
