The death occurred peacefully, at Whisperwood Villa, Charlottetown, on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 , of Margaret Gallant (nee Doiron), of North Rustico and formerly of Cavendish, wife of the late Ivan Gallant, aged 93. She was the beloved mother of Linda Bouchard (John), Mary Peters (Dwight), Bonnie Gillis (Gar), Allison (Carla), Jennifer Smith (Fred), Debbie Walker (Dave), Wendy Silliker (Ray), Donnie (Sandra), Wayne (Bev), and Kent (Sharon); and grandmother to numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Margaret is also survived by her brother, Joe Doiron; and son-in-law, Walter LeClair. Besides her husband Ivan, Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Mary (Gallant) Doiron; son, Joseph; daughter, Elizabeth LeClair; brothers, Edward, Allison and George; and sisters, Bea, Mary, Louise, Jenny and Hazel. Resting at Central Queens Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Thursday, May 3, 2018, from 6-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Hope River, on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Ann’s Cemetery.
