Passed peacefully away on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at the Dr. L. A Miller Centre after a prolonged illness in her 78th year. Predeceased by her parents Murdoch and Ida Beck, father and mother-in-law John and Kathleen Byrne, brother Baxter Beck (Vera), sisters Myla (Kevin Griffiths) and Ina Sheaves, nephew Baxter Sheaves, and great-nephews Jean-Paul Gignac and Rick Thompson. Leaving to mourn with fond memories her loving husband Robert Byrne, daughters Susan Sullivan (Philip) and Alison Byrne (Shane Miller), beloved grandchildren Timothy and Abigail Sullivan and Kate and Jules Miller, brother-in-law Jim Sheaves, sisters-in-law Charlotte Fowler (Alex Kavanaugh), Kathy Hickey (Kevin Haley), Mary Fancy (Roy), Anne Johns and special friends Ruth Feaver (late John), Jack and Patsy Philpott, Andy and Kristine Noseworthy, niece Bonnie Thompson and many other nieces, nephews and extended family. A heart felt thank you to the wonderful doctors and nurses at the Miller Centre Palliative Care Unit, especially Dereck Tucker. Cremation has taken place and the family will receive visitors at Caul’s Funeral Home, 84 LeMarchant Road on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 10-12, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 11 a.m. until time of service. A funeral service will be held in Caul’s Chapel on Sunday May 7, 2018 at 2 p.m. Inurnment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery at a later date. Flowers gratefully accepted or memorial donations to a charity of one’s choice.
