DUKE, Helena (nee Fowler)- Age 83 years. Passed peacefully away at the Placentia Health Care Centre in the presence of her loving family on November 7, 2008. Predeceased by her husband Leo, parents Bernard and Mary Frances Fowler, brothers Bernard and Francis, sisters Annie Hawco, Hannah Power, Irene Power, Lily Nolan and Bernadette Dinn. Left to celebrate her life are her son Gerard (Karen), her daughter Helen Maher (Gerard), Theresa Murray (Raymond), Bernadette Duke (Anthony Doody), Mary Ellen Lannon (Joe); grandchildren Sherry and Jerry Maher, Craig and Amanda Duke, Kyle Morgan, Francis and Jason Murray, Josh and Toni Doody and Jonathan Lannon, great-grandchildren Blake and Jagger Maher and Reagan and Matthew Greene; special brother Albert Nolan (Mary); brother-in-law Frank Power; also a large number of nieces, nephews and friends, especially the residents and staff of the Lions Manor Nursing Home, Placentia. Resting at Maher\'s Funeral Home, Placentia on Saturday, November 8 and Sunday, November 9 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Monday, November 10, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia.
