At the Kings County Memorial Hospital on Thursday, May 31, 2018 the sudden, but peaceful passing of Verna Blanche Haneveld, age 85, occurred. Born in China Point on January 21, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Hazel (Smith) Ings. She will be greatly missed by her loving children, Betty Hicken (Billy), Barry Haneveld, Susan Holm (Doug); grandchildren, Margie Burns, Lena Holm, Ella Hicken, Marcus Holm, Ralph Holm; great grandchildren, Ethan, Cameron, Isabel, Edward; sister in law Pauline Ings and nephew Mark Ings. She was predeceased by the love of her life, Bert Haneveld; brothers Robert and Billy and niece Kelly Ann. Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home. At Verna’s request a Private Family visiting will take place. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, June 5th at 3:30 p.m. in the Lower Montague Cemetery.
