The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday, Aug. 24, 2009, of Angus Gerard “Gerry” Buote, of Summerside, retired member of the RCMP, aged 51 years. Born in Summerside, he was the son of Ann (MacLean) Buote MacLellan (Elmer MacLellan), Summerside, and the late James Buote. Survived by his wife, Sheri (Slattery) Buote, daughter, Jennifer, son, James, and daughter, Jordanne, sister and brothers, Cathy (Don) Moase, Moncton, N.B., Allan Buote, Summerside, and Grant Buote, Fredericton, N.B. Predeceased by his brother, Allan Francis Buote, in infancy. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Friday, then to St. Paul’s Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, or the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
