Passed peacefully away in the arms of his loving wife, Irene at St.Luke’s Home on August 24th, 2009, at age 90 years. Predeceased by his first wife Moira on August 31, 1996. Left to mourn are his two daughters: Dr. Mary Frances Scully (Châu Nguyen) and Theresa McCloskey. Also fondly remembered by his grandchildren: Stephen, Maeve, Diarmuid, Kevin, Aiden and great-grandchildren: Britney, Alana, and Dean. His devoted nieces and nephews from the Fitzpatrick family-Deirdra, Marion, John, Niall, Diarmuid, Brian and their families. His sister-in-law Pat Devine and her family in London. Missing him dearly his stepchildren: Debby, Brenda, Sandra, Junior, Allan, Terry, Fabian, Ronnie and their families. Also left to mourn are a large circle of friends in Tors Cove and Ireland, including his swimming buddies: Nicky, Brian, Eric, and Michael and special friends in Ireland: Jerry and Chrissie Daly and Ted and Eileen Cantwell. Resting at Ryan’s Funeral Home in Bay Bulls on Tuesday, August 25th from 2 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, August 26th from 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service to be announced at a later date.
