Card of Thanks
Lambert Leslie Truckair and Elsie Josephine
We, the family of the late Elsie and Lambert Truckair, wish to express our gratitude for the outpouring of love and compassion during this difficult time. For all who sat with us, sent cards, flowers and condolences, made donations in Elise or Lambert’s honour or came to the memorial services, please know that we are most grateful for your sympathy and that your compassion touched our hearts. A special thanks to Reverend Vernon Reid for his moving tribute to our Mom, and to Reverend Myrna MacMullin for her heartfelt words of comfort during Dad’s service. The family would like to extend a huge thank you to the St. Mary’s Choir for their wonderful singing along with the St. Mary Ladies Auxiliary for preparing the lovely luncheon following the service. We would also like to thank the nurses and medical staff of the Glace Bay General Hospital, Long-Term Care Unit for all you did for Mom during her time with you and to the staff of Taigh Na Mara, our sincere gratitude for the comfort and support you provided Dad during his stay. We would like to express our deepest appreciation to Dr. Cadegan and his staff who provided exceptional care, compassion and guidance throughout this difficult time. We also feel it important to give a special “Thank You” to Heather Turner of Veteran Affairs who worked quickly on behalf of our father and who’s efforts will always be remembered. And to Linda Gottwald, Mom and Dad’s personal care worker, whom they considered a close and dear friend, your care and kindness was exceptional. A very special mention goes to the Legion Honour Guard, whose moving contribution to Dad’s “Celebration of Life” went well beyond the call of duty. We were so honoured to see you all there. Finally, to the staff of Patten’s Funeral Home, thank you, your kindness and assistance was most appreciated.
“Lest We Forget”
