It is with great sadness that we, the family, regret to announce the passing of Murray Roland O’Hara on Sunday, August 23, 2009 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Port Bickerton, NS, he was the son of the late Sherman and Mary Isabel (Currie) O’Hara.

He is survived by daughter, Toni (Scott) Hudson and two lovely granddaughters, Courtney and Jenna, Winnipeg; two brothers, Claude (Ruth) O’Hara, Harry (Joann) O’Hara and his two sisters, Lorrie White, Minnie (Alex) Mac Donald. Also by his stepmother, Evie O’Hara; his uncle, Harry O’Hara and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two infant brothers and a special brother–in-law, Dr. John White, with whom he spent many hours and his loving dog, Meiko.
Murray will always be remembered for his kindness and generosity toward others and his loyalty to his family and friends.
