Wallace, Helen Marie - 82, Truro, passed away August 25, 2009 in the QE II Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Quincy, Massachusetts, USA, she was a daughter of the late Norman and Gertrude (Graham) Watson. Helen was very family orientated and spent most of her life caring for her family. Her senior years were spent at Munroe Court in Truro. She is survived by daughter, Debbie (Brian) Lewis, Onslow Mountain; sons, Ronald (Kim), Bible Hill, Phillip (Shirley Burris), Bridgewater; daughter-in-law, Louise; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sisters, Roxie (Sid) Whitman, Flora (Barry) Blauvelt, Shirley Burns, Jean Watson; brothers, Neil (Irene), Allan; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Allan Wallace; sister, Virginia Watson in infancy; brothers, David and Ronald in infancy; brothers-in-law, Wally Burns, Kenny Feltmate. Helen is loved dearly and will be sadly missed by family and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 7-9 pm; funeral service on Friday at 2:00 pm both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev. Carmen Burns officiating. Interment in Brookside Cemetery, Shubenacadie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Alzheimer’s Society or the Arthritis Society.
