Mary Blanche Wareham, a resident of Sydney, passed away at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on Saturday, May 21, 2011.
Born in Point Edward, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Annie (Cogswell) McNamara.
Blanche is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Ted) MacDonald, Sydney, Joyce (Gary) Murphy, Sydney, Rita (Alfie) Nash, Alberta, and Monica, Sydney; her sons, Gordon (Phyllis), Sydney, Joe, Calgary, Phillip (Linda) Sydney. Also left to mourn her passing are her siblings, Carmie MacLeod, Louisdale, Muriel (Gordon) Wilkie, North Sydney, and Joseph (Shirley) McNamara, Richmond County. Also her 14 grandchildren and her 25 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Blanche was predeceased by her loving husband, Augustus in 1993, her daughter, Elizabeth, and her brothers, Vincent, Valentine and Gerard.
Visitation will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel today (Tuesday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Mira Road, on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Conrad Edwards officiating. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
