MacLEOD, RALPH “Bud” S. - 1941-2011 - It is with sad hearts that the family of Ralph “Bud” S. MacLeod, 69, announces his passing on Monday May 23, 2011, while at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, lost his courageous battle with cancer. He faced his illness with such courage, strength and determination that he was an inspiration to us all. Bud was born in Moncton, the son of the late Blake and Mayme (Godsoe) MacLeod. Buddy was involved in the tire industry for many years and was retired from GCR Tire (sales). He attended Hillside Baptist Church and was very much an outdoors person who enjoyed working in his yard, especially flower gardening and bird watching. He enjoyed Scottish music and country music, watching hockey games, playing cards, especially Cribbage and Backgammon, working on his computer, spending precious time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Bud enjoyed the simple things in life. Buddy will be sadly missed by his wife of over 45 years, Elaine (Agnew) MacLeod; he was a devoted father to Kevin (Carol), Michael (Lori) and cherished grandfather to Colten and Cameron. Bud will be greatly missed by his brother, Robert “Bob” (Norma), sister, Starr Terris, uncle, James MacLeod, aunt, Geneva Wood as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) Wednesday 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. Funeral Service will be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday May 26, 2011 at 1:30pm. Rev. Jerry Reddy and Rev. Cecil Symes officiating. Reception following the service in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. In Bud’s memory, donations to Hillside Baptist Church, Dr. Georges L.
