Irene Stephens
Irene Stephens, age 82 , passed away peacefully at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Saturday, August 22, 2009.
Born in Woodhurst, N.B. she was a daughter of the late Grover and Lena (Buck) Crossman.
Irene enjoyed going for drives, listening to old time bluegrass music, and watching horse racing.
Irene will be sadly missed by three sons, Gordon, Rexton, N.B., Boyd and Dale both of Sackville; one daughter June (David) Hicks of Sackville; four grandchildren, Adam, Anthony, Jason and Sandra; and three great-grandchildren, Alleyah, Ogtjosin and Jamisyn June; sister Ethel Morice, Sackville.
Besides her parents, Irene was predeceased her husband Harley, by two children in infancy; sister Joyce Estabrooks and half-sister Dorothy.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (506-364-1300).
The remains have been cremated and as per the request of the family, there will not be any visitation or memorial service.
Donations in Irene’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
