We the family of the late Bernie Doucet, Sydney, would like to extend a heartful thanks to all those who eased our burden of grief during such a sad and difficult time. Thank you to everyone who visited the hospital, attended the visitation and funeral service, sent flowers, cards, charitable donations, phone calls, e-mails and food. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of C.B. Regional Hospital, especially those in C.C.U. Thanks to Rev. Gerald Dunphy for a beautiful funeral service at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, Mira road, Pat Moore and choir for the lovely hymns especially Dad's favourite "The Queen Of Ireland"; pallbearers Claude Babineau, Art Richardson, Gerry Delaney, Brent Boyle, Bernie French and Bill DeLeskie. We would also like to thank The Mira Road Fire Depart. & Ladies Auxillary, The Royal Canadian Legion and the Knights of Columbus (Sydney & Cheticamp) for their prayers and honour guard. A very special thank you to Winnie MacIver and Elaine Hummer for all of your support and help during our time of need. Sincere thank you to Wayne Weatherbee and staff at Sydney Memorial Chapel for their kindness and professionalism. To all whose comforting words, prayers and hugs helped so much, your kindness will always be remembered.
I'm still with you
Please don't grieve now that I've left your side, There's a peaceful place where I now reside. My life on earth is gone it's true, But always know I'm still with you. The joys I've had, the love-filled days ,The happy moments, in many countless ways. Friendships so special, happiness and sorrows, Make Memories last and bring sunshine tomorrows. God called me sooner and though why, we don't know, There's peace in knowing it was my tome to go. When winds gently blow, and the sun shines through Remember I'm free and still with you.
