On Friday May 20th, 2011 Mr. Dante Piroddi of Kamloops passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the age of 86 years.

Dante was born on January 10th, 1925 in Ilbono, Nuoro Italy and came to Canada in 1958. He is survived by his loving wife Adelina, son Rino (Margaret), grandsons Matthew and Cameron, brothers Antonio (Rosanna), Costanzo (Carmela) all of Kamloops and brother Renato (Maria), sister Anna of Italy, nephews Sandro (Joanne), Mario (Sara) and nieces Pina, Linda (John) all of Kamloops and various nieces and nephews in Italy.
Dante was predeceased by his brother Umberto and sister Nedelia of Italy.

The family would like to offer a sincere thank you to the Doctors, Nurses and staff in the ICU at Royal Inland Hospital for their outstanding care and compassion during his illness.

Prayers will be recited on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. in Sacred Heart Cathedral. The Reverend Father Derrick Cameron will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cathedral. Entombment will follow at Sage Valley Mausoleum.
