It is with great sadness that we, the family of Kenneth Fudge, 83, announce his sudden passing at home on August 19, 2018. Born in Harbour Island, NL, he was the son of the late Sam and Ella Fudge.
Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Rose (Hall), and brothers Sam and Eric.
Ken is survived by his children, Toby (Michelle), Della (Paul) and Darrell (Lori); his grandchildren, Kyle (Trina), Aaron (Kenzi), Allison and Nick; great-grandchild, Jensen; brothers, Norm and Edwin, and sister, Sarah.
Until his retirement, Ken was employed at National Sea Products in Louisbourg in Marine Maintenance. Prior to that he worked on numerous fishing vessels as a Marine Engineer, and also sailed on the Great Lakes.
His pride and joy were his children, grandchildren and great-grandson. His quick wit and smile were contagious. He loved a good joke. He could build and fix anything, and his grandchildren are recipients of his woodworking talents. He was an active member at McMillan Memorial United Church.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. at the MacMillan Memorial United Church in Catalone, on Thursday, August 23, 2018, with memorial service follow at 2 p.m., with Rev. Emily Duggan officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MacMillan Memorial United Church.
