On Friday, August 21, 2009, God received a very precious and special angel. Peggy was a daughter of the late Mary Alice Campbell of Dominion.
She is survived by her loving husband, Joe; daughters, Jeanne (Reynold) Wall, Dominion, Carrie, at home, Eileen (Joe) Mastandrea, Springhill, Florida and son, Joseph, Glace Bay; by her grandchildren, Catlin, Logan, Braden and Krystin, Jenna, Breana; also by a special “gift from God†her granddaughter, Megan; brother, Joe (Linda MacDonald), Ontario; sisters, Myrna, Sydney, Lovey, Halifax and by “little†Peggy, Ontario; sisters-in-law, Marg, Gert and Melva, all of Dominion, Eileen (Steve), Ont. and brother-in-law, ‘Duck’ (Anne), Dominion; by aunts, uncles, many other relatives and close friends. She will also be missed by her two very special friends, Pauline Hill and Suzie Royal.
Peggy was employed at the Metropolitan, Glace Bay; Sears, in Dominion and with Dominion Homemakers before retiring to spend quality time with her valued family. She will be remembered as a super mom, seamstress and homemaker.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Curry’s Funeral Home, Glace Bay. There will be no visitation. The Funeral Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 11 a.m. in St. Eugene’s Church, Rev. Andrew Gillies, officiating.
Donations in Peggy’s memory are requested to the CB Cancer Patient Unit; the SPCA or charity of choice.
