Passed peacefully away at the Placentia Health Care Centre on September 3rd, 2018 surrounded by her loving and devoted family, Mary Monica Power (nee Manning), age 91 years of Freshwater, formerly of Little Hr. West. Predeceased by her husband Raphael, parents Thomas and Monica Manning, sisters Elizabeth and Alice, and brothers Fergus, Leonard, William, Jack and Frank. Leaving to mourn with loving memories are daughters: Geraldine (Charlie Smith), Carmel (Charlie McDonald) and Patsy (Don Jenson); sons: Cyril (Bernadette) and Randy; grandchildren: Lori, Jamie, Jill, Jamie, Joey, Robin, Randy and Rebecca; and great-grandchildren: Avery, Jack, Amelia, Josh, Jayda and Reagan. Also leaving to mourn sisters-in-law Jean Power, Madeline Power, and Marion Manning; special friends Rose Viscount and Mary Traverse, along with a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia. Visitation to take place Tuesday, September 4th 7-9 pm and Wednesday, September 5th 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial to take place at 2 pm on Thursday, September 6th at Holy Rosary Church, Freshwater, followed by interment at Dermot McGetttigan Memorial Cemetery, Southeast Placentia. “Mom’s incredible faith comforts us through this difficult time.
